Providing Veteran Resources and Services for Limestone and Freestone Counties and the surrounding areas.
The Mexia Peer Support Center welcomes Veterans of all eras of service.
The MPSC is a 501c3 non-profit organization. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and volunteers are available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (except for holidays that MHMR is closed). Volunteers are needed.
Some of our Key features include: drop in center with comfortable couches and chairs; television; 3 computer lab; shared intake information area, handicapped access and restroom; billiard table; library; DVD/VCR player with tapes and disks, WII-U console and games; work tables to fill out paperwork; veteran benefit information and flyers and secure area to relax.
MPSC services include Peer to Peer mentors and groups for veterans and their families, emergency food resources, emergency(over night) housing, spiritual counseling, employers who will give veterans preferential hiring status and current veteran preference job listings (local and state), referrals to the Veteran Service Officers in both counties for claim support and more.
We also have access to all the resources of the HOT Veterans 1 Stop in Waco, Tx.
